The aim of the fairs is to strengthen the market for tool and machine manufacturing and to support the development of new technologies. Some trade fairs specialize in specific areas of tool making, e.g. stamping tools, lathes, or 3D printing, while others cover multiple areas of tool making as all-round trade fairs. Probably the best-known and most important toolmaking fair is the International Machine Tool Fair (IMTEX) in Bengaluru, India. The EuroMold in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, is also one of the largest and most well-known trade fairs. In addition, there are other important tooling fairs such as EMO in Hannover, Germany, and the China International Machine Tool Show in Shanghai, China.
